I knew I had taken ownership of my choices. No more excuses like we are too busy or there are these social events that keep us from living an unhealthy life. I’m learning what it’s like to hold myself accountable for my health and prioritize that over everything else.

Meal Prep Is Key

On Sundays, this is when I designate that I will meal prep to stop myself from the allure of the last-minute takeout. Cooking in bulk saves me time, and when I pull a sheet out of the freezer, I always have nutritious options at hand. A proactive way to not make bad food choices.

Mindful Eating

I’ve been focused on presence at meals. Essentially, what it means is to indulge in every bite, listening to my body’s hunger cues. However, mindful eating has done much more than help me improve my relationship with food; it has also helped me realize that portion sizes matter, too.

Exercise As A Non-Negotiable

I’ve begun to make physical activity part of everyday life. It’s becoming a priority now to move your body, whether that’s a morning jog or a home workout. This has allowed me to have more energy with my mood, for the most part, better than it really was.

Positive Self-Talk

I threw away any thought that was negative and replaced it with encouraging affirmations. Instead, I say, “This does not reflect who I am or support what I am doing this journey for.” That shift in my mind keeps me on track.

Support System

I’ve been getting friends and family to support me. I’ve let people know what I’m shooting for, and I’ve built a network of people to help me stay committed.

Conclusion

It’s not your normal ‘no more excuses’ diet; it’s a lifestyle change. When I clean up my excuses – I’m linking up against excuses and emboldening myself further into becoming an even more healthy, brilliant me.

FAQ

1. What is the ‘No more Excuses’ diet?

With the “No More Excuses” Diet, you’re sticking to your dietary choices — and your health — well and truly. Good old accountability, mindful eating, and proactive meal planning are stressed to get rid of what justifies unhealthy habits.

2. How do I start the diet?

The first thing to do is to seek the excuses you had for not moving forward. Get the diet and lifestyle goals you set down and do them—goals that are realistic and that you can actually reach, and work up a meal plan full of nutritious food and a large margin for error. Consistency is key!

3. What foods should I focus on?

In terms of balancing, try to keep it as a whole food diet as you can because the fruits and vegetables, the lean proteins, the whole grains, and healthy fats are what I focus on. Eat fewer foods that are processed, have a lot of sugar, or are high in calories, like sugar snacks and high-calorie drinks.

4. Is meal prepping necessary?

Meal prepping isn’t a must, but being able to mean you can. Prep work makes having your meals prepared in advance beneficial for your time and stops you from making unhealthy decisions on a last-minute basis.

5. How can I stay motivated?

Also, remember to keep track of your progress and something, no matter how small, to celebrate. You will need some supportive friends and family around you and positive self-talk to inspire the diet.
